10 Years, 10 Triumphs: Triumph 3
CADB Opens
On Monday, our dream became a reality, the Center for Autism and the Developing Brain officially opened its doors to a new way of caring for people with autism. The state-of-the-art facility, which is located on New York-Presbyterian’s 214 acre Westchester Campus, serves children, adults and families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
CADB is the result of NYCA’s collaboration with New York-Presbyterian Hospital and its affiliated medical schools, Weill Cornell Medical College and Columbia University, who all partnered to make CADB possible.
The Center is lead by world-renowned autism expert, Dr. Catherine Lord, “Our focus on the lifespan and on interdisciplinary, evidence-based assessment and treatment is an innovative approach not commonly found at even the most highly respected programs in the country,” said Dr. Catherine Lord.
CADB represents a fundamental shift in the way individuals with autism and their families access services. CADB provides comprehensive services at every stage of life regardless of payor source, including evaluative, diagnostic, and multi-disciplinary therapeutic services.
