Riseth (Seth) Chea called on his friends, family, and community to support his recent fundraiser to benefit NEXT for AUTISM. The motivation? His godson.
NEXT for AUTISM: What inspired you to hold this fundraiser?
SETH: I came across a (comedy fundraiser) on YouTube for NEXT for AUTISM. They explained what the organization was all about and having an autistic godson, I was inspired to do a fundraiser myself.
My godson is currently nine years old. Since he was first diagnosed with autism at age 2, his family questions if he will be able to live a productive life once he becomes an adult.
NEXT for AUTISM: Tell us about the event.
SETH: The event was held at the Lafayette Club in Taunton, MA. We had a live band, DJ, and a lot of baskets to raffle off.
I want to give a shout-out to all the attendees and volunteers who came out to support, and also a big shout-out to Paul Petit's Classic Rock Double Shot Band and Entertainment DJs for putting on a heck of a show, and Bernini Social Media for taking great pictures and videos. And to the Prysmian Compound Mix Crew.
NEXT for AUTISM: Why NEXT?
SETH: My vision aligns with NEXT for AUTISM I believe and trust this organization 100%. Your focus on autistic adults addresses the key concern of parents and caregivers looking to make sure their family member has every opportunity to live a beautiful life.
Thank you, Seth. We are inspired by the dedication to your godson and can tell by the pictures that you are surrounded by a beautiful and generous community!
