Michael works at Popcorn for the People (NEXT for AUTISM grantee), a social enterprise model dedicated to creating meaningful and lasting jobs for adults with autism and developmental disabilities. And they make delicious popcorn!

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Working with employees and making popcorn.

What was your biggest challenge in finding/getting this job?

Embracing vulnerability during the hiring process. While many candidates focus solely on showcasing strengths and hiding perceived limitations, this organization values authentic self-representation.

What advice do you have for other autistic job seekers?

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there. There is bound to be a place where you belong.
