NEXT CONNECTS is a bi-directional mentorship initiative developed by NEXT for AUTISM. The goal is to support young autistic adults entering the workforce while fostering improved acceptance and inclusion within businesses.
NEXT matches professionals who have established careers with autistic college students and recent graduates seeking entry into the workforce. Co-mentors will provide support and collaboratively set personalized mentoring goals, promote career advancement opportunities, engage in knowledge transfer, and expand neuro-inclusive practices in the workplace.
After launching in Fall 2023, more than 100 co-mentors have completed the NEXT CONNECTS program. Organizations represented include Cigna, Citi, Dan Marino Foundation, Drexel University, Endo, Hyperion Materials & Technologies, IBM, Wondermation Productions.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
ASPIRING PROFESSIONALS/COLLEGE STUDENTS
Aspiring professional participants are neurodivergent. Individuals may be finishing up college or recent college graduates on the hunt for a job. You are ready to learn tips and tricks for having a quality resume, acing an interview, and navigating the mysterious world of networking.
ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONALS
Established professional participants are professionals who have been in their careers for at least three (3) years and can be neurodivergent or neurotypical. You’re all about sharing your work wisdom, giving insight, helping others grow their careers, offering allyship, and supporting neuroinclusion in the workplace.
